Synesthetic is an audio–visual instrument you can play in your browser. Use your computer keyboard or the on-screen piano (mobile) to trigger notes. The visuals react to your sound. My goal is help build an intuitive connection between what you hear and what you see.
Be careful if using headphones—some patches can get loud!
On desktop, play with keys A S D F G H J (white keys) and sharps W E T Y U. To change octaves, use the 1 (down) and 2 (up) keys. On mobile, use the piano bar at the bottom.
Switch visuals in Visuals → Visual Mode. Explore sections like Oscillator, Filter, and Envelope.
Change sliders to change the sound and visuals.
If audio doesn’t start, click “Tap to Start Audio.”
Click “Copy link” in the controls to save your patch. The URL encodes the settings, so you can share it with friends.
We also curate a few favorites below—open one, then tweak to taste and reshare.
